A group project done in collaboration with LAB with the intent of designing for a luxury maison, with special attention to sustainability.

The Alies d'Or collection is an ode to the women of history who have carried the weight of kingdoms and revolutions, with unwavering grace, and is a celebration of their strength, ambition and resilience that transcends centuries.
This 11 week project required research on key competitors, fashion and design trends from the past and present, establishing a trend for jewelry that our collection could champion, which lead to the design direction chosen.
Material research was a big part of the design process as our focus on sustainability was at the forefront of our development plans. The material chosen for this collection was Aluminium and lacquered jacaranda tree seeds.

Prototypes were created in Rhino 3D, printed in castable wax resin, and cast in silver, then gold plated to achieve a similar look to anodized aluminium. Furthermore, an aluminium prototype was made with a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, as an example for the statement piece of the collection, the "Eclát" necktie.
